A group of local women business leaders went on a Hard Hat Tour July 15 for a sneak preview of the new Center for Changing Lives. The tour was led by Jodi Harpstead, COO of Lutheran Social Service and Kate Wolford, CEO of The McKnight Foundation.

Many women represented organizations and businesses that have financially supported the new center, including Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, the Lutheran Community Foundation and The McKnight Foundation. In the photo, Elizabeth Anderson (left), Director of Community Relations for Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, shared why her organization provided the lead corporate gift for the new center.

“A wide variety of service partners have come together around the vision for the Center for Changing Lives and we are very exciting to have such strong support,” Harpstead said. “People see the value of connecting affordable housing to support services that are all in the same place to help people change their lives.”
